18:47 is the "prepending column names with table names" still necessary if the tables' column names are different?

Does the mother table have a primary key?

Will the idnum get "autocorrected" when I delete a key in the middle of the table? So if you delete the row with idnum 11, will all rows > 11 get adjusted or will there be a "hole". Like 9, 10, 12 ?

Doug, Why do you refer to "C", when you are INTRODUCING an ENTIRELY new concept not related to said C in any way? This is database class, essentially, not a C programming class. You don't seem to get the whole thing yourself. Hmmm...I wonder. Weird. Why do you do that?
