When Pokémon fans begin their thrilling 3D adventure in Pokémon X or Pokémon Y this October, they will be transported into an entirely new region called Kalos. I remember playing x for the first time. I remember copying his exact team, same character, same pokemon names, everything. I would pause every 3 seconds to make sure i was doing what he was doing LOL. Pokemon X was my first play through. (Late start ikr) It took me 2 months to beat Pokemon x xD.

I know you've heard this a bit by now, but you don't need to use a Pokemon who's type is effective against the Pokemon you're battling just an attack that's effective, even if the Pokemon using the attack isn't that type.

Should've kept leech seed. It might not do much but it works for all of your Pokemon and keeps em in the game.

pokemon can decide to not listen to you when you lose to much thats what i mean by friendlyness and also its is always good to give him a few tips. i dont think he will lose every single gym battle but you never know what might happen. its always nice to be safe

Doesn't matter is its super effective or not very effective. Moves like Leech Seed only give back like 10 Hp. You want a move like Giga Drain later on.

Sorry to be stickler, but actually: Assurance's power is only doubled when the opponent's Pokemon was hit by damage prior to Assurance's attack. It pretty much only works in Double/Triple/Rotation battles.

Since this is your first Pokemon game, I'll give you a tip Zack. There are two offensive stats: Attack and Special Attack. Some moves are Physical Attacks, which rely on your Pokemon's ATtack stat, while other moves are Special Attacks, relying on the Special Attack stat. The goal here is to teach your Pokemon either Physical or Special moves base on their stats

I guess having more variety in your teams than I had really helps.
