same man got my s2k early 2020 before crazy prices well in aus at least and yeh I’m just k swapping my s2000 so yeh I’m never selling mine even considering have more than 1😂 one crazy track build and a fun street car of course. They really are a true gem of a car and genuine makes me happy

I love my s2k. Have always swapped my cars searching for something more. I found it - its not the fastest but its the most fun I have ever had behind the wheel! Uk 2004.

To be fair, while the AP1 S2000 is rated at 240hp vs the ND2 MX-5 with its 181hp from the factory, the S2000 is subject to a good deal more drivetrain loss, so the numbers are more like 215 vs 170. A close friend and I constantly A/B test each others cars (he owns a 2001 AP1 and I ended up buying a 2020 ND2), and I used to own a 2006 AP2 way back when. With the ND making much more usable torque down low and weighing significantly less, it honestly feels quicker than the S2000. We've both generally agreed that the S2000 feels more peaky, with the flat-out 9000rpm experience being more visceral and pupil-dilating than any moment given to you by the ND2. That being said, I think generally speaking the ND2 feels faster and more fun to drive in almost every other scenario. They're both great cars and I'd happily have either in my garage, and I genuinely think the ND2 is just as fun and engaging of a car, just in different ways; definitely worth a test drive at any rate!

A few months ago I traded my modded NC MX-5 for an M2 Comp. I'm not saying they're in the same league, but I do miss driving the Miata and I have moments of regret that I sold it. Your S2k is gorgeous and I think it's up there as one of the most iconic sports cars to come out of that era - and I think the AP1 is much more unique due to the redline. Speaks for itself that the price has skyrocketed. There's just something about these cars that really changes you, the way the make you feel like you're 'one with the road'. Don't sell it haha

The Roadster/Miata is only the legitimate competitor to the AP1/2 maybe the 86/BRZ but let down by the horrible motor, the 370z feels like more of GT car rather that pure sports car.

Biggest edge the Miata have is availability, aftermarket parts support.
