Been waiting for this update since it was announced. Thanks for the demo of the multicam feature. Disappointed that Apple didn’t include a more robust round-tripping solution for users who want to move between macOS and iPadOS. Good video, thanks!

Well they finally made FCP for iPad useful, but I’m hoping for the same type of control on real FCP on laptop.

Not sure if anyone else is having this bug, but the Final Cut camera is just a black screen and doesn’t actually record.
Not sure if it’s because I’m on the iOS 18 Beta

This is really cool but I don’t like that the multicam editing is just tiny thumbnails at the bottom. It should be a bigger 2x2 preview so you can actually see what you’re choosing from when you edit it. Also a missed opportunity to not have the ability to edit live while recording.

I was able to connect my iPhone, I tried using my wife’s iPhone (different Apple ID) and the iPad name won’t show to connect. Did you try connecting a different iPhone other than yours?

Could this be an added feature to the MacBook Final Cut app in the future? Also, the FCP camera should have the lever in the middle so you know you’re holding the phone leveled correctly, just like the regular camera app. Thanks for the video!
