I’ve not had a good experience with the previous model and the bar clamping is the same and it used to pop off if it hit a knot or something similar

My Bora edge guide is worthless. It doesn't clamp tight enough so the clamp moves while using it as a router edge guide. I ended up using a board with C clamps as a straight edge.

If the adhesive on the anti chip strip would function as it is supposed to, the system is easy to work with. BUT! I've been forced to superglue it down and tape it in place because the adhesive sucks cold donkey nuggets. That is my only complaint about the system.

how can you easily set the guide to cut on your mark? I'm having a problem with that because aside from the actual measurement, I need to make another mark where the blade will actually cut and its making a lot of inaccuracy... its pretty cumbersome for me

What none of these reviews mention is this saw guide relies on a two-piece straight edge that is not straight when you mount the two pieces end to end to form an 8’ straight edge. Not impressed at all.

I rather spend my hard money on high quality products like the bora ngx and wtx clamps, not on some cheap flimsy clamp which fall apart like the cheap Pittsburgh clamp which is made of plastic.

I already spent the zillion dollars and am glad I did but, I do have that same skilsaw and would buy that jig if I didnt have the zillion.
