Honestly my favorite umpire I have seen you breakdown. The fact he is so calm and his first reaction is to smile when someone questions him. He is so not the old guard who takes everything seriously. Hopefully this is a trend towards better attitudes for the MLB officials.

I'm a fan of this ump, he flashes a nice smile, stays calm, reviews his own plays, tries to have a good-faith discussion with the manager. As for the calls I agree that there's one missed, Suarez, that was a swing. Springer swung too and he called it right, Walker didn't and he called it right

As someone from the UK with no real exposure to baseball, I'm increasingly convinced the only reason this sport has all of these (easily fixable) stupid rules and ambiguities is so coaches can come out to argue and Jomboy can make videos about it. And I'm all for that.

I find it hilarious Schneider said "don't bark at my f-ing bench". I know he is protecting his guys, but the ump barely said anything and you know the entire bench blew up and were chirping like crazy when he made the swing call.

Regarding the plate ump making the call rather than appealing to first, most of the time I would agree that since they're paying attention they should just let the base ump handle it unless it's obvious. But that pitch was in the dirt, Morales knew very early that it was going to be a ball. Umps are taught in that situation to switch their attention to the swing, because that call IS the plate umps call to make if he can
