Probably a dumb question but before I get too excited I need to make sure they're helping me pay it.

hello TZP...I got a bit confuse with your explanation of the timeline within which one has to file for student loan repayment. So from the day of enlistment (DOE) you will have 90 days to file for student loan repayment, 90 days before coming up to your 1 year anniversary and the same for every following year? Thanks...

Hey TZP, being a first generation military member, I am still very uneducated about everything in the military. I signed my contract about a year ago and was guaranteed $50k in student loan repayment. I just completed high school and have never taken out a student loan before. I was under the impression that the army would pay back any federal student loans taken out. However, after watching this video, I believe that you stated that the army would ONLY pay back student loans that were ALREADY taken out before signing your contract. So if I were to take out any student loans now (after I signed my contract), the army wouldn’t pay it back?

When I signed back in 2018, I was a senior in high school. Which means had no debt but recruiter said the incentive for joining included 30k loan repayment. What exactly does that mean?

Thank you for your help! I was told by my recruiter that they only start paying out after I finish AIT is that true? March 2021 will be 2 years for me being that i shipped out later does that mean i miss a year of payments? Also after completion of BCT and AIT for a guardsman are we entitled to a VA home loan?

So if I’m understanding this right, I signed my contract dec 2017 army reserves and instead of a $8k bonus, I chose the 30k SLRP. However I did not do enough research and recruiter didn’t tell me enough (shocker right) and I did not have student debt becuase I signed in high school, but I knew I would in the future. So after AIT when I came home I went to school. So the loans I have for school now do not qualify for SLRP is that correct?

90%? That is only for the army. The other branches you only get up to $10, 000 which helps but isn't much. For me that is only about 1/3
