Taste Testing Turkish Delight: Discovering the Sweet World of Lokum!

On my trip to Sarajevo in Bosnia, I found a lovely lokum shop called Haci Niyazi. So I had to bring some back for Charlie!

Hhalva is a sweet made of sesame paste. Looks like hard block. Orgin Persia. (Chałwa in Polish) chałwa is well known in Poland . Halva is one of the staff you love it or hate it. Personally l like it.

Turkish Delight is much more like mochi, it’s mainly starch with flavourings and dusted with powdered starch to stop it from getting sticky.
