I think it's hilarious about the eyebrows bit, considering that in Justice League, they digitally removed his moustache, so we know they have the technology.

Henry Cavill acts more like Superman in interviews than he does in the movies. He's charming, likable and fun, plus he was suave as fuck in The Man from U.N.C.L.E. The blame for this one (like at least 75% of the DCEU's problems) lies squarely with Zack Snyder and the WB higher ups that don't understand Superman....or any of the DC characters.

I 100% believe that Snyder only put in that dreary montage of Superman begrudgingly saving people in BvS out of spite. "You want to see Superman saving people....FINE....HERE IT IS....HAPPY NOW???"

I honestly think Henry Cavill can act. I genuinely no joke think Zack went up to him day 1, told him some shit description of his edgy depressed version, and henry said, "ok so what im understanding is cancel out my man of steel arc? the one that didnt even work well but was there?" and zack was like "yea and also dont smile unless you are near Lois. because shes the only thing that you like"

The funny thing about BvS is that the entire situation could have been solved by Batman and Superman just having a conversation with each other and ironing out their differences. Picture the two of them in a cafe. Sitting opposite each other sipping coffee. Talking to each other in a polite way. You could even still have the Martha scene.

To be fair, Henry Cavill didn't have the best lines to work with. If it had a script with more emotional range, he would have acted less stoic.

Once you approach Superman as a character that needs to be more "gritty and realistic, " then you've clearly displayed you don't have a clue about why he became popular in the first place. Supes idealism survived World War II, Vietnam, Korea, the Cold War and countless other dark chapters in history but it somehow couldn't survive Snyder and Goyer.
