Probably the saddest scene in the whole movie. Don't get me wrong, I kill ants all the time, but the fact that Anty battled the scorpion when it was clearly way stronger than him to save the kids and
died in the process.

Never noticed it when I was young, but watching it back now, I've just noticed that when the kids began fighting the scorpion back, it was a stick thrown by Ron that fatally wounded the scorpion... Sadly it was too late for Anty, but - fittingly, after Anty saved Ron's life - Ron avenged Anty's death

This had to have been more terrifying and emotional than the cockroach scene in “Honey We Shrunk Ourselves”, particularly since this movie came out in theaters while the latter just came out on video.

What does a scorpion do in a backyard if it's not a pet scorpion that ran away and why did the filmmakers choose a scorpion instead of a spider when it's more common there are spider and not scorpion in backyards from "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids"?

When the kids are going to sleep 😴 at midnight 🌙 🌃 🌉 🌌 and then, they were attack by giant Scorpion 🦂, and then the ant 🐜 saves the day,

But Scorpion 🦂 stungs a Ant 🐜

The kids throws sticks at Scorpion 🦂 and got stung

And then Scorpion 🦂 Walks 🚶‍♂️ Away

And then, The Ant 🐜 got stung

And Sadly 😥 the ant 🐜 dies
