David Splane has an answer for when Jehovah's Witnesses die during worship

David Splane has the answer, and it involves death being really no big deal anyway.

I remember years ago, a brother had a car crash on the way back from a meeting. He’d fallen asleep and rolled the car. Amazingly he survived, and everyone was surmising that jehovah had protected him.
Transpired, much later, he was so tired because he’d been having an affair with another sister.
Divine intervention, obviously.

I'm so glad my dad died while kingdom halls are closed, i couldn't handle a jw funeral for him. My grandfather's was bad enough.

So, basically, if you die while in service or at the Kingdom Hall, you are assured of salvation... if you die at any other time, it is luck of the draw... Got it!

"Those who died did not lose Jehovah's approval". That makes no difference. The Bible says: Those who have died have been acquitted of all sin. But JW's keep shoving this faithful to the end attitude like it does make a difference.

I always wondered about that too and it troubled me greatly, since the Bible says: Jehovah will not allow us to suffer what we cannot bear. I had to endure pain I could not bear. I started to believe God must not love me. A depressing way to live.

A side thought: the Governing Body members are getting up in age. Eventually the silly “overlapping generation” teaching will become obsolete. What will be the “new light” teaching be then?
