In this really quick video I will go over and share my initial thoughts after testing out the New Sony A9 III and 300mm f/2.8 GM lens... The production quality is not the best on this video because I was really pressed for time and on location so I apologize, but hopefully I will get my hands on the A9 III again for a highly detailed review in the future...Gear used linked below and thanks for watching, Jay

Great content. If you were to buy a camera today, would you purchase an fx3, Canon R6 Mark 2, or Zv-e1 for vlog/podcast, doc content, or any other suggestions? I also like to take pictures on occasion. Did you sell your Sony fx3

Wow so jealous you got your hands on one what a light combo sticking with the 600mm f 4 though we need the reach on "C&I"

Just from what you've explained so far, the a9 III does appear to be the best camera ever, with pretty much everything people have been asking for. I remember years ago (from the original a9), people were talking about how it reduced rolling shutter, and since that time, global shutter has been the holy grail. It looks like Sony achieved that in this pro camera. However, by far the most impressive thing is the flash sync at all shutter speeds. I don't generally pan extremely quickly while shooting, and I don't do much wildlife photography (although the pre-capture is fabulous for those who do!), but I almost always use my flash when shooting professionally, and there can even be issues at 1/200 seconds for me. The fastest I can reliably go is 1/160, and thus, in the daytime, I need to use an ND filter, putting it on and taking it off when the light changes. This new flash sync ability removes the need for an ND filter in these cases, and removes the need to be aware of the shutter speed when using flash at shutter speeds around 1/200 seconds. It also lets us catch movement more crisply, when a speed faster than 1/200 sec is required for things not completely illuminated by flash. Of course...this is also $6, 000...so I'll probably get the a7 base variant with these features in around 7 years. But hey, that's something to look forward to...

Will the memorycard be fast enough? How many picture can you take before the memory is full?

Amazing camera! Not one I could afford, but I’m excited for the Pro sports and action shooters. As far as the pre capture. Sony is late to the party. Olympus had the on the OMD-EM1 6 or 7 years ago. It will work much better with the global shutter. There will be no rolling shutter problems.

A 100- - 300 would have made more sense to me (perhaps you as well) than a fixed 300. Still very much like Sony except for them being late with firmware updates to A1 & A7Siii.

The sony 300mm f 2.8 is amazingly good, the sony a9 III is an camera I will not consider to buy, 24 mp is not my sweet spot, and the dynamic range is not the best in class.
