What I believe is that dx in maths doesn't have any meaning it is just simple notation by leibniz to denote that we are differentiating wrt x or integrating with respect to in physics dx has a has beeen a source of confusion...also leibniz notation is simple but it always tends to cause confusion for example for a very long time I thought dy/dx is a it's a LIMIT!!!
