Plants can not only hear you, they can feel you, smell you, and remember things! In this DNews video, Trace shows us how plants know what they know.

"Sound Garden: Can Plants Actually Talk and Hear?"

"The forest really does hum with life. Though often too low or too high for human ears to detect, insects and animals signal each other with vibrations."

"Plants can hear you (and they're getting sick of your shit)"

"In Roald Dahl's Big Friendly Giant, the BFG describes his ability to listen to plant's voices with his enormous ears. "

"Plants may be able to 'hear' others"

"THEY can "smell" chemicals and respond to light, but can plants hear sounds? It seems chilli seeds can sense neighbouring plants even if those neighbours are sealed in a box, suggesting plants have a hitherto-unrecognised sense."

DNews is a show about the science of everyday life. We post two new videos every day of the week.

Energy. Positive words produce positive energy. Just the same with negative

This reminds me of the Myth Busters episode when they tested how fast plants would grow when exposed to different music genres.

PLANTS HAVE FEELINGS AND THEY CAN HEAR YOU IF YOU TALK TO THEM. If you talk to them calmly they will grow and be happy, if you shout at them angrily they will be scared and will die.

Saying that if plants are "reacting" to their environment it's equivalent that the fact that they perceive is just like us is equivalent to saying when your immune system reacts to a virus infection, it's evidence that you know you have been infected even before your firsts symptoms appear.

Remember, water molecules can be shaped by intention and also has memory, so feed your plants with love ❤️ it's all about the love vibration

Even plants can use mathematics as well for example plants can calculate the ratio of their seed to the nutrient in the soil

In a class on plant biology, I was taught that plants can't hear.  In a study to see how exposure to music affects plants, researchers initially thought that playing music stimulates growth because those plants that had music played to them grew faster than a control.  The experiment was then repeated, but fans were placed between the plants and the speakers so that sound from the speakers, but not heat, could reach the plants, and the plants then grew at similar rates.  Maybe this just means that plants "hear" different frequencies than humans, like how plants can "see" different wavelengths of light.

The fact that plants make sound does not mean they can talk. Its not trying to convey anything. Its just a byproduct of a process. Like burping.

I`m genuinely interested in secret life of plants, because I think nature is really interesting and intelligent. But the comment of vegetarians is beyond pathetic. Plants sentience has nothing to do with animal rights. Because by supporting animal killing you are killing even more plants and destroying the habitat ( rain forest etc) and killing animals at the same time ( while it is totally unnecessary). So the moral ground is still there. You are still causing the least suffering possible and that is the sole core of vegetarianism/vegans. The plant theory is still in grass roots, but for animal we DO know that they have the same emotions as we do, feel pain, have friends, family, personality. And that killing them is uncalled for. So I would ask you, where is your moral ground ? Peace&out.

I'm also a vegan, and I just wanted to thank you for making this comment. It's such an obvious point, and you said it far more concisely than I tried to!
