The way you draw s5 John is just
He just looks so broken.
He's lost his hair. He's all hunched over. His clothes just loosely hang off him. He looks so small, and defeated, like he wants to be anyone other than himself. You can tell he's a different person than he was before. That he's been beaten down by everything that happened.
I'm so glad you got into tma. Your art and animatics for it make me rabid. You just really seem to GET these characters.

I cannot tell you how many time travel fix-it fanfics I’ve read, where season 5 Jon (and/or Martin) travel back in time to season 1, in order to fix things, keep everyone alive, and stop The Change from happening.

It’s SUCH a good trope, and my favorite part in the beginning is always how season 1 Jon reacts to how _different_ but still similar season 5 Jon looks. 🥲

i like your interpretation of s5 jon, but i always figured that earlier seasons had super neat trimmed hair and later seasons (especially after his coma) his hair got longer and a bit more wild, as he probably wouldnt have time or the need/want to crop it neatly? also because i feel like it represents him slowly loosening up more to the others (martin and basira mostly but you know)
