IT'S FINALLY DONE! You have no idea how much this took, college took a lot of time from me, but it doesn't matter, I'm free from this animatic... time to make a new one :D

Random fun fact: Did you know that some victims of torture will sometimes fall into a dream like state where they are in a world where they are not tortured? It’s pretty interesting if you ask me.

i like when Dream takes Tommy's doll and on the next slide it disappears. That means Dream imagined it. Or I'm overanalyzing things

Damn, I knew Tommy was scared of Dream, but I never expected it to be vice-versa as well. it looks like his obsessions with the boy has started to drive Dream insane.

the part when Dream’s talking about Tommy being the closet thing he has to a companion because he’s stripped away all other connections on his quest for power. He can control Tommy as his unexpectedness is expected and it’s relevant to when he’s cutting his hair as if he too need to feel like he has some power. I love the end when Dream talks about feeling nothing while staring back and (the ghost of Tommy i believe) and says that he feels nothing cause it almost sounds like he’s convincing himself he doesn’t feel anything towards him. BEAUTIFULLY DONE AND WONDERFULLY EXECUTED!

I love the facial expression but more than that I love the story telling. Dream expresses his frustrations of Tommy staying mostly sane, especially after all the trauma he put Tommy through. About how Tommy, out of everyone, pisses him off. And then...he cuts himself on accident. He looks at his hand, covered in small spatters of his blood and his missing finger (most likely due to what Hollow_Swift mentioned). Dream is forced to remember the trauma he himself went through at the hands of Quackity. And then he sees a mirage of Tommy (before his eyes went to a blue-grey) staring back at him through the mirror, yet nothing is behind him. And then the realization and the numbness that comes with it.

The simple realization that 1) He brought Tommy back himself and 2) He can't fault Tommy for the prison, even if he wanted to. He is forced to realize that Tommy went through a similar torture at Dream's hands. That he himself would have left Quackity in that prison too. That, even if they hate eachother, they are the only two people who can understand what such torture is.

And as angry as he is at Tommy, Dream feels nothing but numbness because that is exactly what he would have done too.

I hope I got my thought process to the right conclusion. But I could be wrong :)

Finally! Someone confronting how Dream feels in all this shit he’s done. He has trauma, and now he has serious scars. For once he was powerless, where usually he rules undisputed.

Am I the only one to find that image of Punz and Dream at the end so cute? I don't know what they're saying, but I find that adorable to see Punz taking care of Dream's hair because he probably messed up xD

I like to interpret this line as referring to c!Tommy's friends/family, as while c!Dream could physically separate c!Tommy from them, he couldn't make him stop loving them or trying to get back to them. And c!Tommy couldn't survive without some connection or something to hope for, so in a sense the people he cares about are keeping him alive.

Oh I just noticed Tommy's puppet has his wounds- theres stitching across the centre of his skull where there's a scar and another on his right arm which was bandaged up. He also had a scar on his left side jaw and there's stuffing coming out of there. Cool detail!

Is it just me or does Dream kinda look like Tommy after that haircut? Makes me believe it was either unintentional mimicing on Dream's part, or an artistic choice by the artist to emphasize Dream and Tommy's parallel stories.

it demonstrates their relationship so well in all it’s sick and twisted glory. That ending when dream is looking in the mirror and sees a phantom of Tommy and when the “out of all these wh*res hes had the most” part was just AHHH.
This has watered my gardens cleared my skin fixed my phone charger and is keeping both sides of my pillow cold truly phenomenal

I've always wanted an animatic showing both sides that are equally traumatized/messed up and how c!Dream kind of sees himself in c!Tommy and how obsessed he is but still portraying him as human

THIS IS SO FUCKING COOL DUDEEEE. this is like the only depiction of c!dream EVER because it paints him as a complex character while also being a horrible person. that ending line fits so well goddd. you illustrated how c!dream wants control of everything and is very full of himself, and he takes out his frustration (and trauma) on c!tommy. how far his minds gone off the deep end that he doesnt even care about his morals anymore. and hes so frustrated that c!tommy has that, and that while his abuse of him has been shown to be fun and like a game to c!dream, hes still angry that c!tommy hasnt given up yet. props to you
