UPDATE: WOW. When I said “right now!” I didn’t think it’d be in the next few HOURS! Sony announced just now that they’re BACKING DOWN from the PSN requirements. They will not be moving forward with the change on May 30th! WHAT!

This has to be the most INSANE incident to EVER occur in the gaming industry. Sony is singlehandedly DESTROYING Helldivers 2 and it feels like all we can do is watch in shock and awe. I am on refund request number 7. Sony scammed 177 countries (and territories) that were sold helldivers 2 who will lose access because sony decided to require a psn account now. We dive together or not at all.

Same thing with Stellar Blade. Sony sabotaged it but now with Helldiver 2 it went out of their hands. They are both just as bad but Sony has lost control. Arrowhead lied to the player base.

Update: they are allowing people who cannot obtain a PSN account in those countries to continue playing...yeah that is a classaction lawsuit

If the CEO knew 6 months in advance that account linking was going to be mandatory but still choose to sell copies of the game on Steam to countries where he factually knew it was impossible for them to set up Sony accounts he knowingly committed fraud. People still defending him is beyond belief.

Imagine not being able to refund the game after 3 months and no knowledge of the requirement. That yellow box didn't exist for me. If it did I wouldn't have purchased the game along with the super citizen package. Fu## you Sony. I want my money back.

Make the sign in voluntary, but offer a one time reward (free skins) if the players do use it. Not everyone will bite, but many will. This way nobody is forced to do anything.
