Keep in mind it’s a 1/16 scale model so 5kph is effectively 80kph

actually the wheel did not come off due to the speed bump but actually the axle had melted from the friction of it spinning so fast so lego pieces actually melted, this can be stopped by applying some sort of lubricant to the axle and the connection

This is also a great example to slow down when you're going to speed bump because you're car will lose a tire

Fun fact:

The Defender name has only existed since 1990.
The very first prototype had a center-mounted steering wheel.
All Defenders are made with aluminum skin, thanks to post-WWII steel supply shortages.

Maybe do this more often but with some custom suspension builds too. And maybe get a more dedicated slow mo camera since slowing the footage down makes it way choppier and there is less detail. Any iPhone will do fine, or a Samsung if you want slower footage but at the cost of quality.

THIS is actually a great example of why you should NOT slow down when driving over a speed bump smaller than a certain size. You will just make the bumb feel much more intense when closing in on the car's suspensions' own frequency. Especially train crossings should be crossed with normal speed.

The problem is that lego cars are too light, especially the unmotorized ones, plus no weight of driver, passengers, cargo, etc. They could bounce a lot over bumps. Plus the bumps aren't even straight to begin with in this demonstration. Not a good simulation for the real world.
