I got myself a 360Hz 1080P monitor since I do play a fair amount of CSGO and Valorant. After about 45 days I returned the 360Hz monitor and kept using my 1440P 240Hz one. The 360Hz had this feel silky smooth-unreal ish feel to it. which is a nice first time impression, but it didn't make me any better. I switched between my monitors multiple times, even just downgrading the 360Hz in-game to 240Hz and I couldn't feel like I "lost" something. The reason I returned the 360Hz monitor is simply because i didn't want to pay the amount when I had something good at home.

The biggest jump we had in competitive gaming history was the jump from 60Hz to 120-144Hz, you can still even see and feel the jump from 144 to 240, but it's neglitible. I am still unable to go back to 144Hz as I'm used to 240, but I didn't feel the same about the 360Hz.

You make what you want out of this text.

Would have been neat to see you go 120, 240, 360 and then back down again - to see if it was just you warming up, or if it was the monitor.

I owned a laptop with a 300hz screen for a while and to be honest I kind of miss it. Even though there were few titles the laptop cpu was able to hit 300fps in it was SUPER smooth and responsive feeling. I did, oddly, perform more consistently in competitive stuff on the laptop too. I'm seriously considering this for my desktop.

So long as you don't give up image quality for the speed (which this doesn't seem to do) I don't see the harm in it.

I been waiting for over 9 months for this monitor to come out and for reviews.
At the moment I'm stuck if I want to go for 27" 4k 144HZ or go for this (27" 1440P 360hz). I currently have 27" 1440p 144hz atm and would like to upgrade :)
I'm not a compative gamer but I like the idea of playing War Thunder with a very high frame rate as it's not to hard to run that game.

I'd like to see more stuff of color accuracy, response time (G2G), HDR over previous PG27QN, how it performs under G-sync with games running at 90/120fps target. I think it could be a more robust review. Ty!

Nvidia's study doesnt account for the fact that you can simply pull a smaller monitor closer to your face. Obviously its gonna be easier to see targets on a bigger monitor if you keep them at the same distance.
Also your score increases on Kovaks was most likely due to you just getting used to it. If you went downward in refresh rates you would've still seen an increase.

HDMI 2.0 connection can allow for 120fps, but at either 1080p or 1440p so we are good :) HDMI 2.1 connection essentially allows for 120fps at 4K, or 8K at 60fps.

4:44 " but beyond that i can't tell a difference above 360" hey that the limit the only thing above 360 would provide is reduce latency and stability, until there is a higher refresh rate monitor on the market you can't actually say

I know that increasing the framerate even for work tasks increases productivity and decreases misclicks. 144Hz 1440p monitor upgrade did wonders. But probably my next monitor is going to be 240Hz 4k, because the pixels are bothering me for work stuff and while reading and watching content. And for fast gaming I could still do 1080p 240Hz on 4K monitor with my older GPU without sacrificing blurriness because of non perfect scaling. But it would be interesting to see at which refresh rate we would stop seeing the difference. Probably around 1kHz.

Waiting on that Asus 32" 4k 240hz to come out.

I guess the 120hz vs 240hz vs 360hz was done incorrectly, of course you will have better results after you woke up your muscle memory and hand is a little bit more warmed up.

Hey man, you didn’t really touch much on the actual display and brightness or the picture quality compared to the previous 1440p 260hz model? I heard this display is mini led and not just the standard ips panel

When you record it from the pc you can see it’s smother from 60 to above

lol the monitor doesnt need hdmi 2.1 if its 1440p, it can still do 1440p @120hz on consoles

Hey man just a fyi the 7950x and 7900x actually aren’t great in a lot of games even compared to the 7700x. Apparently the dual ccx design of the 7950x and 7900x causes a good amount of frame drops and latency in a good amount of games. You would actually get higher fps with that 4090 and a 13900k.
