I love my soaker hoses. I don't have to replace them every year. Mine have a cloth sheath around them and flow fine. Harbor Freight 9.99 for 35 feet. I think we are on year 6 with ours. North FLorida sun n rain. I am going to try the drip tape in our new garden this fall. We already have plants in for the spring/summer. We used HOSS seeds for the first time and we are honestly shocked at the difference between Walmart and dollar store seeds. We plan to set up the drip hoses and the water soluble fertilizer set up for fall. So far we really like the HOSS stuff. I dont have a comparison to go by but our soakers are great.

BTW, if you live in the desert like me, the water is hard as rocks. It’ll clog a soaker hose starting at the first use! Just say “No!” 😎

would you recommend drip tape or soaker for crops like carrots, or radishes. I've heard soaker is better but would like any insight.

how does drip tape work in a freezing temprature. does it crack or burst in freezing temprature as compared to hose. what can be done to prevent it
