If you haven't read the manga, I highly recommend it as it fleshes out a lot of characters, especially Megumi, who ended up being the sympathetic one despite how she starts out.







*Mei & Yamato:* Mei works as a preschool teacher with Asami, while Yamato struggles to find work as a professional photographer. He eventually gets an opportunity when Megumi returns to Japan and the Dessert Fashion magazine asks him to be her photographer. The photoshoot ends up with a great success which allowed him to finally have a breakout as a photographer.
At the end of the manga Mei and Yamato marries and have a baby.


*Megumi & Kai:* Megumi decides to work abroad in France as a model, and as a farewell gift Kai gives her a cat charm. In Paris she meets a photographer named Angelo, with whom she starts a relationship. Angelo provides her a place to stay and several job opportunities.
As years go by Megumi doesn't have her desired breakout success while a younger model named Rin from her former high-school is already popular which worsens her inferiority complex.
Later it turns out Angelo has been cheating on her, so Megumi breaks up with him. She ends up finding a note with Kai's contact details hidden inside the cat charm and she gives him a call (a few years too late lol).
She is reminded that he was the first person who accepted all her shortcomings and eventually decides to move back to Japan. After her return he gives her words of encouragement and she decides to work again with Dessert with Yamato being her photographer.
In the ending scene she receives an invitation to be a model for an upcoming French fashion show and shares the news with Kai, who is her romantic partner at that point and being the first person who was there for her since they met.


*Aiko & Masashi:* Married and have a baby


*Asami & Kenji:* Kenji ends up relocated due his office job, so instead of having a long-distance relationship he proposes Asami and they marry.
