I work with refugees with Immigration and it's always the grocery stores that flabbergast them. Most of them will become so emotional they weep. They never lose their awe of being able to pick items they want and marvel at how easy it is to access whatever you want. The sense of pride they feel when they are cleared to work and have their own money to pick out what they want is never forgotten or taken for granted. I am reminded every day how grateful I am to be an American.

MAN, this hits me right in the feels.

So many people born here take SO MUCH for granted. Everyone is complaining about inflation. It has hit me too. I will never be able to afford a house in my home town...yet...

While many here are lamenting their fate, bickering about nonsense social issues, the border, trans rights, heck we still have racism in this country...

This man makes me happy. This man gives us hope.

And for all those in the US who are pushing socialism or communism because they think it is more "equitable, " this channel stands in stark opposition. Reminding those who have lost their way, that they in fact live in the greatest country in the world. And despite all our issues, this is a place where even our poorest at least have a shot to have a roof over their heads, food on their plate, and an opportunity for much more if they work hard enough. It may not be perfect, but here citizens are afforded the luxury of complaining about their country openly without repercussion.

Joel is a true American. And I am proud to stand beside him as a brother.

We are lucky that we have the privilege to contemplate these issues, rather than worrying about where we will get our next meal. Which is not afforded to everyone, even if they have the money to buy it.
