He's absolutely right. I was born in the middle east, and it was a horrible, horrible place, and luckily my parents were able to get a visa and green card to come to the US and later become citizens. No place is perfect, but what my family has here now, no one in my country of birth could have.

As much as I love america, every single godamn time I've been to america. I have been either beaten, jumped, or hospitalized becuase of me being German, it's really sad becuase I love america but, due to our country's mistakes in the past which aren't my fault I get the short stick, I even went to a hotel who refused to give me a room becuase of me being German, I have a few Americans friends from uni and there wonderful people so my thoughts for america have changed slightly but I'm still very scared to ever step foot in america maybe one day when the Americans stop living in the past.
