In parks I dig everything above 60. Try wiggling the coil back on those bottle caps.... You may hear the iron grunt as the top of the coil reaches the cap.

Yep, that Roman is a hammered bronze, or 'other' copper alloy. Those unmistakeable Xp tones brought back good memories of times past. Good comprehensive run-out.

So I guess that’s why they say you have to dig everything. Great video

Backing away from the target works with some machines for bottle caps. When the target is just at the front of the coil it will give the steel tone. In the middle of the coil it shows mid tones most often. A coin doesn't seem to change tones using this method. My guess is the steel reflects the weaker signal better than the plating of the cap.

nice comparison with the three videos....I noticed, after watching the videos you just put out, this ORX has, IMO, the best tones...the good targets have a pronounced edge compared to the washy edges of the other two detectors ... I have a simplex, I use in the water, and a T2se for land...cant wait until the depth test video....I considered an XP this spring when I bought my T2

seriously I'm not understanding this scale 37 items tested 2 iron at 3-5 then 35- are nickle and above starting mid tone at 62 running up to 97 silver dollar, whats in the 10 to 60 range
