of course nothing is perfect but beefing up door jambs with 3 or 4 inch screws and buy security striker plates and plates on hinged side is 10 times stronger than basic unit!

I'd also like to say in the case of a home invasion, reinforcements could slow them down enough to escape or defend yourself. Also it increases the noise to alert or maybe deter some thieves in some areas. For example a friend broke silently into my polebarn with a screwdriver, so I made it more difficult. Now if they want in, they will have to make A Lot of Noise! Course that approach only works if your home most the time or have good neighbors.
