My Book Recommendations:

Learn how to play Chess the right way from beginner to master level. National Master Robert Ramirez will take you up the pyramid by following a proven Chess training program he has been improving and implementing for over 10 years.

Benefits of Playing Chess:
- Promotes brain growth
- Increases problem-solving skills
- It exercises both sides of the brain
- Raises your IQ
- Sparks your creativity
- Teaches planning and foresight
- Teaches patience and concentration
- Optimizes memory improvement
- Improves recovery from stroke or disability
- Helps treat ADHD

Chess is an intellectual battle where players are exposed to numerous mental processes such as analysis, attention to detail, synthesis, concentration, planning and foresight. Psychological factors are also present on and off the board; playing Chess stimulates our imagination and creativity. Every single move a player makes is the result of a deep analysis based on the elements presented on the battlefield.

Chess in its essence teaches us psychological, sociological and even moral values. In a Chess game, both players start with the same amount of material and time. The fact that the white pieces move first is considered to be practically irrelevant —especially because a player typically plays one game as white and one game as black. Consequently, the final result of the battle solely depends on each player. It doesn’t matter if you win by taking advantage of your opponent’s mistakes or by simply avoiding mistakes yourself. Truth is that Chess is an extremely individual sport and our defeats can only be blamed on ourselves and no one else. And this, in the end, only benefits us because we learn to be and feel responsible for our actions and never come up with excuses to justify ourselves.

We also learn that when it comes to our victories on the board, our opponent's mistakes play a more significant role than our own skills. Let’s not forget that a Chess game without any mistakes would be a draw. This way, Chess provides us with another valuable life lesson: be humble at all times.

I have never had aspirations to become a chess master. However, I do enjoy playing the game. Playing the game well enough that I don’t embarrass myself is an achievable goal in my estimation.
I stumbled across Robert’s YouTube channel a few months ago. His lesson plans took me from novice to the point I understand “some” of the theory.

It’s not just a few lessons he actually has a real plan with professional content that is growing every day. If you care to follow his plan you will be successful.
Robert I wish you all the luck in the world thank you very much for your wonderful content.

Getting back to chess as a senior citizen after decades' long absence (there were no computers in my day or YouTube help). After much serious review of the many chess offerings, NM Ramirez is sincere, dedicated and seeks to help his audience no matter what the level.

I'm rated 1600 elo and with Robert's guidance and Chess 4 All I look forward to reaching 1800-2000.

Thank you.

Thanks a lot Robert Sir. ❤️
I am very grateful to you that you teach me chess for free on Youtube.
Exactly 1 year ago I had started to learn chess, I don't know anything, I started at zero and currently my rating is 1227.
I have followed your course throughly and best thing I liked about is the way you speak very calmly and share your knowledge with us.

Best learn chess playlist on YouTube, bar none. Back in July of last year I started going through NM Ramirez's videos, saw how many simple but important concepts I was completely unaware of, and saw a noticeable improvement in my game within the first week. Now every time I introduce someone to chess, I send them the link to his beginner to master playlist.

I can't recommend NM Ramirez highly enough. Welcome to the channel, newcomers!

Also his horse friend is pretty cool too.

hey NM Robert Ramirez, I am completely NEW to chess. I only know the fundamental rules on how to move each pieces but I am completely chess-dumb when it comes to actually playing. I know nothing about the game (except I know a lot about its community)

My enquiry is if (with practice) I can master everything necessary for me to be a really good chess player by going through your free YouTube Courses lol. I am starting really late, like I am 18 right now and no one I knew had really ever forced me or showed me to have any interests on learning chess but I do plan to learn the skill of this beautiful game.

I'm a senior also, who was indifferent to chess for decades until a roommate coaxed me back into playing. I learned to play at about 12, but I was hyper-competitive, always wanting to win and not interested in getting into a battle of the minds - because I might lose. I entered a back-to-school chess tournament in my freshman year of high school: lost to a sophomore and drew with my homeroom classmate. I didn't know how to castle - thought it was like running away.

Anyway, I read your comment and your goal of reaching the 2000 level resonated with me - and I'm still foundering in the 400s. I know I'm a better player than that, but the numbers speak for themselves.

I just wanted to thank you for your reply that encouraged me, and to share with you a verse my roommate cited that has helped me playing the game: "Iron sharpens iron: so a man sharpens the countenance [game face] of his friend." Proverbs 27:17
