you can also do this n the oven too but i use the Velveeta cheese in it too and it makes it alot more cheesier but that is all up too you! just thought i would say that been making this for years!

You could do this in the oven as well. I would bake in a 350 degree oven for about 45 to 60 minutes.

Prepared this 30 min ago. I used smoked paprika along with salt and ground pepper for my seasoning hope it turns out well. Thanks for the video Stephanie!

I'm thinking, for a cheesier/baconier (?!) experience, could you not put some bacon and cheese on the first layer and then start building the potato and onion again and finally dotting with butter as you've done? That way there's no doubt that there's bacon and cheese throughout.
