This is so real, not even just on the timing part but realizing how much you can get done in those 20-30-40 minutes sessions.
I was always someone that if I didn't have a large enough chunk of time, I wouldn't draw, because what's the point if you have to stop halfway through.
But recently I started recording myself drawing, and I would be surprised by how much I would accomplish in those small little pushes.
So definitely try this!

Honestly? I kinda dig it! As someone who both wants to be consistent and also needs visual reminders, an actual timer sounds like a really cool idea :0

I use it for other tasks( will try for drawing from now on) because I noticed that if I use my phone as a timer, I’m more likely to get sucked in when I pick it up. I put the phone away.

This and using a pen liner instead of pencil which continues to surprise me every time. When I use pencil i erase so until the line is perfect, i cant do that w/the pen liner and i actually like the art better.

I actually do have a kitchen timer! I do need to try using it for art sessions.

I use a timer on my pc and if I sketch on paper I turn off my monitor screen.
White this, I'm also trying to learn to estimate time.
