Istanbul is an amazing city and Turkey is an amazing country. I did CBI years ago - we need to talk about the downsides. Lots of Jingoism and the rental market is absolutely horrific. Many foreigners got into contracts that go for 10 years with no inflation adjustment. Also many people's 3 in 5 years are up for CBI - so the cost of properties are devaluing as folks exit. I don't plan to sell and will live here off and on, but as a pure "investor" people better keep their eyes open.
