Yes, cool update. Latency issues solved is by far for me the biggest improvement

Oscar, thank you so much for what you're doing! You are still my number 1 channel when it's about electronic music production and I recommend this channel to everyone who want to start or enhance their productions. Another thing is, you've been a huge inspiration for me to start doing my own stuff. Love your vibe, cheers

Hey Oscar! Off topic here but wanted to let you know that I learned more about music production from you here than from almost all other youtube content combined. Wonderful personality, good focus points, great delivery! Thanks and keep it up!

I have been using Ableton Live since version 9. I absolutely love 12.

I feel your disappointment concerning the Arpeggiator that still does not include a step sequencer like mode. But don’t forget, that if you’ve bought Live Suite, you have the Max for Live essentials pack for free. And this pack contains an alternate ARP device that works the way you’re looking for.

Something Nice 😉 Orange is the sun when the curtains are closed, Bright is the light when the curtains are open, keep it light 🙂

Nice one, quick intro to what's new.
There is a kind of new sequencer, in the midi generators and it's called "Shape". You clicked on it for a second.
I plan to learn the tunings more next, curious what you would do with them. :-)

Hi Oscar! Good vid! I myself installed 12 and never looked back! Perfect upgrade! Did you know there are shortcuts for heigth and width? Just use h and w.

I really think Ableton should make a shortcut to edit values in automation. Now you have to right click and choose "edit value" from the menu.

Sir, great video. I have a few unfished trax. I have been using Abelton since version 3. I keep upgrading and now have 12. I have not done anything since version 9. I need to get back into it. I want to start taking your courses, but I am hoping you come out with a full tutorial on 12. I will sign up for that as soon it comes out if you plan to do so.

Could you give us a tour of a 100-track project one day? It's the stuff of legends and myths for those who create music but aren't professionals. :)

The midi splitting and lower mix window are logic features that they've had for like 17 years. Thank god lol I've wanted these features so badly and now they're here 👏🏼

I strongly recommend to use the latest beta, Ableton added / brought back very useful stuff like hiding the track I/O in arrangement view without menu diving and hiding clip and device view together instead of individually.

Grouping plugins per developer to access them in a folder view is also possible again.

Generally i like the upgrade but i still missing stuff like a latency compensated GUI and also a compensated host transport information so that stuff like LFO Tool, Volume Shaper etc. is usable after latency introducing plugins without workarounds like manual sample offset or midi trigger.
My second concern is the tag system.
A tag system in general is a good idea, the implementation is inconsistent.

2:10 How do you turn the volume up and down?

I haven’t used Abelton in several versions but this looks really impressive.

As a Reason user, these QOL improvements would be so, so welcome.

about the arpeggiator: did you know that you can assign a clip to a range of keys of your midi controller and the clip will follow the pitch as you play the keyboard? this makes Ableton itself the ultimate arpeggiator IMO. Greetings
