GM sold 2, 093 Hummer EV in 2023, and Mary Barra has the audacity to act like it's a victory lap 🤣

And once again, GM proves themselves as a marketing company rather than an EV manufacturer.

Tell me this is propaganda for GM, without telling me it’s propaganda.

An interview worthy of a Russian state television station interviewing a Soviet-era Commissar for Industry in say, 1973.

Yet, she took the Department of Energy money, cancelled the Bolt, cancelled the factories and used the taxpayer dollars for a buyback.

A very expensive new building filled with concept mockups lol. It’s all about appearances and attempting to control perception. No substance. All smoke and mirrors.

Mary Bara truly is the Pioneer of EVs. Who is this Elon Musk guy .... On a related note: When is the next GM Bailout planned?

This whole video is to save the stock price. Ultimately, GM doesn't have the risk appetite to deliver and commit to affordable EVs. Some are still waiting on that base trim Equinox EV

That's a $30m a year smile. I have invested in gm for 10 years. And it's gone up less than inflation

Fourteen months commuting in my '23 Bolt euv Lt; it's saved me a bunch of money, and has had zero problems. Orion assembly did a great job.

I get tired of hearing “the first woman” to do a job. I think she does too. It shouldn’t matter male/ female or black/white. It should be the most qualified for the position. Period

The "Design Center" referenced is a large addition to the 1950s original on the campus of the General Motors Technical Center in Warren Michigan. That space was previously a parking lot for employees. Originally the space was used as a backdrop for publicity photography for new cars... with light poles and manicured trees in an almost courtyard setting. The 1950s through 1970s era was GM's pinnacle of design leadership. Numerous classic vehicles were produced during that era such as the Tri-Five Chevrolets, 1961 Impala, 1963 Riviera, 1963 Corvette, 1965 Coupe deVille, 1967 Camaro and Eldorado, 1971 Grand Prix, 1976 Seville, 1979 Riviera, etc. Then GM design went downhill in the 1980s and 1990s with the 1985 Deville, 1986 Eldorado, 1990 Lumina, 1992 Caprice Classic, "Dustbuster" minivans, Pontiac Aztek, etc. ...vehicles openly mocked for bad design.
Mary Barra has turned around GM and made it profitable on a per unit basis... and she wisely dumped the money losing Opel, Vauxhall, and Holden brands. But the result now is a much smaller share of the American market...from once over 40 percent to approximately 16 percent.
