Boss NS-2 vs Boss NS-1X using the send/return loop

This is a comparison of the Boss NS-2 and NS-1X noise suppressors (or noise gates). Spefically, it compares their performance when using pedals in the suppressor's effects loop (how you should be using it). I also demonstrate the settings of the NS-1X.

Thanks for honesty. Watching Andertons video the only thing I could get from them (talking ~30min) is that both are great and there is almost no difference - because they sell both :)

Great video. I've been considering the ns-2 for the loop but I might just go all out on the ns-1x now. Thanks!

I play a strat through a JVM, it’s a very noisy combination. The NS-1X is a major upgrade. As of right now, best pedal Ive bought.

So your putting the pedals themselves in the effects loop of the pedal? I need to try this

Time to compare the NS-1X to the ISP Decimator g-string 2

You can still buy the NS-2 new, the NS-1x had better be a lot better, because it's very, very expensive!

It’s a great upgrade. Not really worth buying though if you have the ns-2 already imo.

LOL. You have the threshold set too low on the NS-1. That's why your still getting noise!

Putting your Fur Coat after a buffer is your first problem... That thing hates being anywhere but first in your chain
