Thanks for this video! I have a question: do you still recomend the VMS One preamp? I don’t know if buy it or wait to buy a UA SOLO 610, ISA One or WA-73. I have also RME Fireface UCX and GAP COMP-2a (LA-2a compressor style). Thanks for your opinion 😊☺️

I use a mic pre to an evo 4. Mic pre manufacturer said I should use trs into the interface. But via xlr sounds better like what you did I have more headroom and gain to spare. Need your help, I don’t want to break anything. Thanks

Hi. Can i ask question? I have Apollo twin usb, Evo Sp8 mic preamp which has connect by adat and Klark teknik eqp-kt. How can i connect them? I checked my eq after i connected but no sound difference. I setup in uad console. I put Clock source Adat, Digital input Adat in uad console. I put digital source as well on my evo. I'm relatively new to this so I keep asking one question: When a preamp is connected to an interface to a line input, what happens in the recording. Is the recorded sound bypassing the interface amplifier and recording the sound from the preamplifier. Or no matter what the line input is, the preamplifier on the interface has an influence on the recording? I hope I made the question understandable. I wanted to say, if you have a good preamp, does it even matter what the usb interface is.
