So it says $1, 200 is pending in my checking account. I'm going to stimulate the economy by putting that $1200 in my savings and act like it never happened.

It shouldn’t take a pandemic to realize you NEED an emergency fund.

I'm temporary out of work and filed for unemployment. Thank God for Dave Ramsey! Thanks to him I have an emergency fund, no debt, and very little stress about money.
I really feel bad for people in so much debt.
I kept trying to tell my coworker a year + ago to stop blowing all her money, and to pay everything off. But no. Now temporary out of work, and she's completely stressed out of her mind.

Why does Dave always say that the husband needs to get a job? SHE needs to get a job too until she can start her airport job. The burden shouldn't just be on the husband in every scenario.

17 million people unemployed. Its probably more like 20 million. Cause some people can't get in contact with unemployment office . People must try to conserve money in this time . Hope everyone is ok .

She’s all over the place, can’t even explain the predicament clearly. How can you miss out your husband has been laid off?

As one aircraft mechanic to another, call a recruiter. There are plenty of contracts out there right now. Update your resume, get on jsfirm. I get calls daily. You are going to bring home more money doing that than any part time job. 8 years in the industry. Trust me.

What was the point in saying she has 91 dollars in her savings? Just say you don't have any savings. Geesh.

I listen to Dave everyday but instead of paying my debt down first, I started saving for 3-6 months fund just in case something would’ve happen. I’m glad I made that decision. My debt can wait($21, 000). I got laid off and I had tried to apply for unemployment but it’s difficult to get through and no money coming in. I have applied at the grocery stores but no one is hiring. Maybe I can do delivery services. Having $91 on the account would stress the heck out of me!

She can't even identify her problem; she is in more trouble than she realizes. Forget a house for now. She needs to focus on being able to eat and pay rent and utilities. Good luck to her!
