Jackie and Russell the bears celebrate a year since their rescue!

Jackie and her cub Russell were in danger after becoming too comfortable with humans in a Southern California neighborhood. After being rescued and brought to the Cleveland Amory Black Beauty Ranch, they don't have to be in danger again!

They look like they live in paradise. I loved seeing them climb the tree, looked surprisingly easy for such a big animal. Will her male cub try to mate with her when he is older? Will they have to b separated in the future or can they always b companions?

I work at a wildlife rescue in Nova Scotia and it is illegal to rehab bears here. 😭
