It's so hard for me to believe that it has been 45 years since I saw this in the theater, I saw it over 50 times back then. I could not get enough of it, I was only 16 back then.

This was the best Bad News Bears movie. My Mom and Grandma took me to see it at theaters. We stayed and watched it a second time. To this day its one of my favorite movies ever. Brings back great memories .

I remember seeing this movie on Tuesday, August 16, 1977 with my younger sister and my neighbor. How do I remember that? Because I also remember that, sadly, it was the day Elvis Presley died and we found out about it when we went in a drug store after seeing the movie. Not as good as the first Bad News Bears movie but still a fun movie for a 13 yr old kid. Always liked the theme song, "Life is looking good" that muzakly plays in this scene.

Ah, the 70's. 'Twas an innocent time. A time when a cute young girl wouldn't think twice about getting into a stranger's, your, van. Damn you Ted Bundy!

Wow, this clip brings back a lot of memories for me, and it still amazes me what you can find posted-up on YouTube, and on the web in general.

I first saw this movie when it was originally released in theaters in July of 1977, just a few weeks shy of my 9th birthday. And, being that I was only 8 years old at the time, and not possessing anything close to a discerning eye, or, having any understanding of the "real world" to compare this movie, or any movie too, I pretty much enjoyed every single movie that I saw at that age. So of course I loved everything about, "The Bad News Bears in Breaking Training".

But, what I remember most about this scene specifically is, that it was the first time that a member of the opposite sex made me feel attracted to them. What a strange experience that was. Like, I'm just sitting there eating my popcorn in a theater at 8 years old in 1977, and lovin' the movie that I'm watching. Then, all of a sudden, I'm stricken with a desire to make babies with a image of a young female being shown on the big screen, while I'm still practically a baby myself. Didn't know that was possible until then.

When I watch this clip today, it all seems like it happened just yesterday, however, I start feeling my age when I consider that the young female hitchhiker featured in this clip looks like she's in her early-mid 20's at the time, and since the movie was originally released over 37 years ago, she would be in her late 50's, to early 60's today, provided she is still alive of course. Making her a senior citizen and possibly someones grandmother today. Man, when I realize that, I really start to feel like a old dude myself..

Just a few thoughts that I wanted to share with anyone who took the time watch this old clip.

Wish this girl had done more movies. Viki Kilstrom's only movie appearance. The one interesting tidbit for me, is that I worked at a company less than a mile from where this scene was filmed, on Doniphan road in El Paso, TX.

This scene right here was the first time my hormones started to rage. I was probably 11 when I saw it on HBO.

I remember seeing this when I was 9 at The Fox Cinema in Kettering Ohio. Nite that 70s-as-hell halter top.

In real life that girl wouldn't be standing on the road for more than 2 seconds before she got picked up.

Shows you how much things have changed since the 70s. People accepting rides from complete strangers off the street, imagine that! No one does that now for fear of getting murdered

I know it seems hard to believe but in the 70's it was actually pretty common to hitch-hike and you'd see pretty girls age 18-25 all the time on the side of the roads in the summer with their thumb in the air. I was only a grade-schooler back then but I wish I was a guy with a nice car in his mid-20's picking up all these girls LOL. You'd have to assume if they were hitching alone then they wouldn't object to spending a couple hours at a motel at the edge of town. Probably woulda been a lot of FUN, if you know what I mean.
