Abbey do you think you could do a whole video on gut health! And thank you for all that you do on your platform! Your message is so important in a world that is still not kind to all bodies.

I tried CLA, green tea supplement, leanbean, hourglass and Adios max. All completely ineffective. I've had success with Thermo X, but to be honest it's quite possibly placebo effect; it's supposed to induce thermogenesis but I can happily fall asleep an hour after taking it 😁😄 It helped to move me off a plateau.

I think if there was a magic weight loss pill we would all be skinny humans walking the earth looking lost 😂

I started taking CLA not because of weight loss, but because my hormones are in absolute chaos (hair loss, acne, weight gain, SO much hunger). I was tired and sad because in the evening before dinner I got nauseated, dizzy, started getting headaches, etc because of hunger... and since no one here (doctors or nutricionists) would do anything else but say just eat right (I was already doing that), I researched and supposedly CLA helped regulate hunger hormones, I bought it because I had nothing to lose, I already felt awful and almost threw up everything before arriving home from work.
Tbh it has worked, my hunger levels are normal with the exception of PMS... I hate my hormones, they have always given me problems 😢

It's helpful to know what significant means in terms of actual dismal numbers . I've always been kind of wary of a magic pill anyway .

I’m old enough to have survived decatrim and the original hydroxycut with ephedra 🙄

So in summary, we eat lots of plants, try to get some sleep and keep our stress low, and have some Persian food every now and then!

Way way way back in the day, I took some weight loss supplement with guarana and goodness knows what else. And got sudden onset migraines. While driving. Nearly dying was enough to never touch any over the counter weight loss supplement ever again.

I know it's difficult, and there are other factors, but as a general rule for most people, whole foods, high protein foods, and calories in/calories out is the best way. With the focus on "calories out, " (ie, get 10K steps a day). It will just work for most folks. The poor girl in the news story at 3:25 actually had a rare illness that caused her to die due to her body's inability to process a high protein diet.

Been taking berberine for years, kinda missed it blowing up (don’t use TikTok!) and my friends still give me a quizzical look when I take it, so I guessed they missed it too! I also take ashwagandha for my anxiety. Sometimes I do worry about whether they interact with each other, especially as I also cycle on and off starflower oil in the wet season (I get aches in humid weather and starflower oil has been shown in clinical trials to stop this - and for me it absolutely die!) Oh and magnesium glycinate. And sceletium tortuosum. Yeah, I’m a bit out there with all my herbs and potions! 😬 And I haven’t even mentioned them all…

I take raspberry ketones and lost 3 stone and kept it off for 6 years. Best thing I ever done. I can’t exercise because of spinal problems, but I eat healthy (most the time except my weekly takeaway) it worked for me (I have medication so I sought out advice from my GP .

Back in the day during my weight loss journey. I used to take cayenne pepper supplements. It really helped my digestion.

Would love to know what supplements you take (not weight loss related).

I'm currently taking berberine to help help fix my gut from sibo and so far, no weight loss at all, just more regular pooping lol I was pretty nervous when I read that it was used for weight loss bc I don't have a desire to do so, but it doesn't seem to be the case for me. Guess if your stomach is super fucked up, it focuses on that first 😅

I feel like Berberine really curbed my appetite. I lost weight slowly and sustainably. It could be the placebo effect though.
