The Tragic Disaster Of American Airlines Flight 587 !

American Airlines Flight 587's terrible crash had a tremendous impact on the aviation industry. In November 2001, the flight from New York's JFK Airport to the Dominican Republic crashed shortly after departure. The accident claimed the lives of 265 people. The crash was caused principally by the separation of the vertical stabilizer as a result of the co-pilot's excessive rudder inputs, according to investigations. The event demonstrated the need of proper pilot training, airplane construction, and security precautions in averting such catastrophic catastrophes.

Strange that for 45 years pilots flew jetliners using the Rutter this way. Until the Airbus that used the carbon fiber stabilizer broke off. Why blame the pilot, and not Airbus for building a jet so the Rutter could brake off?

I fly Boeing 747 and I took off about 1-2 hrs after 587 obviously, they thought it was a terrorist attack 9/11 was only about two months before hand so we had multiple security guards on our plane. It was pretty scary. Because I was newer. And only had about 10000-15000 hours of flight experience.
