Are LEGO Storage Bricks a Rip Off?

Clark and I discuss the LEGO storage bins Mrs Brickitect picked up from TJ Maxx for $43. We open them and compare the sizes to regular bricks, show the storage capacity, and most importantly, try to answer the question: Are LEGO Storage Bricks a Rip Off?

I feel like the storage bricks are a little steep, but I really do like how they’re stackable!

My question is, can u build a house out of those storage bricks?

I love how they look, but they are definitely overpriced.

we need a giant brick separater to separate the giant bricks.

You guys have to remember.. these are built for KIDS to use not us adults! Yeah we would rather have the effective storage but kids want to play and stack! Keep @stackinbricks

I do want you to know with the ones like the cylinder don’t put small things in them ( like 1x2 plates or studs)because they can get stuck at the bottom

I collect sets and, as the larger sets mounted up I decided to buy the 2x2 and 2x4 bricks for storing bagged up sets and wrote on the sides what was inside. Trouble was once I started I had to keep going. Great for a universal storage system but soon mounts up into hundreds of pounds, dollars etc. Now looking back I'm happy with my brick system.

The best thing is I don't have to carefully open valuable printed Lego boxes and also if a set is at the bottom I simply get it and the whole tower changes order but I don't have to rearrange anything just place the box I've used on the top, and so on. Hope this makes sense.

I’d rather use a shelving system like you have in the background

I just watched the "We got a PlayStation 5" video on your Greg's World channel. And I'm a little jealous because I got the money to afford one but haven't been so lucky to secure one. Great video here and there, BTW.

I think these are pritty cool. They are a thoughtful gift and a really fun way to store LEGO. Did you know that you can get these with drawers which are super convenient because you can stack them up and access your collection without taking them apart. The only downside is that the drawer variant has less space in them.

Definitely think the sterilite bind are a better bargain but the Lego ones are pretty cool. Great video!

I got 3 of the 2x4 storage bricks from TJ Max. A friend gave me a trash bag size of Legos and these came in handy

Definitely expensive. Might be fun to have a couple for the novelty. I believe they also make storage bricks with drawers instead of opening from the top.

You can normally get storage bricks on the cheap second hand. The best colours are black, white and grey. I’ve got a 1x1 brick from a lot I got last year

I have a couple of these. I store my less used lego in them. One design flaw is that smaller pieces get stuck in the crevice inside.
