“Numbers aren’t everything about a car” Couldn’t agree with you more! How the car makes you feel is 100% more important

Nice video. I've put a wall unit microwave in my 981 frunk before. The 981 is quite useful. However, even though the GT4 IS special and hard to pass up my M2C was faster, more livable, and just awesome. I have some regrets but every time I get in my GT4 and see that "GT4" on the tach I have to pause...owning a Porsche is one thing, owning a GT Porsche is something even more special. I have no regrets.

Nice review. I have a M2 Comp and recently bought a 718 GTS 4.0 25th Anniversary. There are things I like about each of them. At first I thought I could replace the M2 with my 718, but that’s hasn’t been so easy. So for now I’m keeping them both.

I have both, and must say the M2C is more playful at lower speeds which in most daily driving scenarios makes it more fun. As a daily, it’s tech and back seats make it more liveable. But, it doesn’t have the sense of occasion or outright ability of the GT4 when pushing on…

Some really good points in there mate. Pro’s and con’s with everything! Love the GT4.

I just sold my OG M2 and moved into 718 GT4 (both manual). The only aspect that I'm missing is the looks of the OG M2 (had LBB wrapped in XPEL Stealth and that looked sick) apart from that the Interior, engine, suspension, manual, clutch, power delivery, traction, emotion, looks - everything is on another level. I thought about keeping the OG (had both cars for 3 months) but every time I was going out I chose GT4 when I had the chance hence the decision to pass it down to somebody who is going to use it.

The GT4 definitely draws my eyes whenever I saw them in the town center. Loud, beautiful, elegant. My 911 is delivering tomorrow. I can’t wait.

Very different cars, but it was 100% worth the upgrade 👊

Carbon Buckets are mind blowing. IMO it’s a must for a GT car.

If you watch this video… you’re considering an M2CS or GT4 😉 perfect review, helps a lot! I’m getting out of my RS4 B95 (kids are ruining the interior, not so much fun afterall even though a great car). Leaning towards the Cayman I think. Track readyness and steering had me..

Great vid mate! Some useful insights across two weapons. What a garage it would be to have both. Thanks for sharing and keep on enjoying the GT4. And yes to your question, I have an M2C and want a GT4 but I would keep the M2C - love it too much 👍

Definitely not a crime to change cars and I didn't think it was bashing the previous motor. Honest thoughts. I liked it. I hope you have your videos monetized now!
I've got a GT4 incoming in a couple of weeks... can't wait!!

Great vid, thanks. Very balanced. I have a stage 2 M2 OG and have had it for nearly 5 years! I came from a 981 CS. The M2 is a worse car…… it just is, but it’s a lot more fun than my cayman was. That’s a car you drive very seriously as you say it’s like a knife (gt4 even more so) the M2 is a dribbling lunatic, it wants to be sideways a lot and I love it for that. I’ve been debating for a long long time where to go next but I just stick with the max little M. It makes me laugh and that’s all that really matters. Coupled with the practicality (I have 2 kids) there’s no where else to go unless I want a much heavier thing or a less practical thing. Neither appeals.

Two completely different ways to have fun! However, one is a sports car and the other a performance car.

Hi Will. I think your analysis nailed it. I have both cars presently ( I blame you for getting me interested in a test drive of a Gt4 and then buying one)) but they are very different prospects . Is the Porsche a better car? Depends on what you want to do with it! My 718 gt4 makes me smile in different ways to the m2c. Handling is streets ahead and the engine is intoxicating when you hit redline. On the track it is way better then the comp. On the road you have to push it had to get the car into its operating window which is both licence losing and dangerous The m2 is a much better road car which can b tracked and has the kit and design for everyone to use for a very different range of applications with a lower but wider operating window . Most owners car drivers would not attempt to extract what the Porsche has to offer. But if you want to drive really hard it will blow your mind. I share your view on parking in less than desirable areas. Welcome to prestige car ownership! No one tells you the full story of owning highly nick able cars until you’re in one. Ground clearance in the gt4 is crap and makes you appreciate the usability of the m2c. They are both excellent cars just very different ownership prospects. Have you experienced the haters yet. Porches always draw the attention of those who don’t understand the experience but think you are an twat cos you own and can afford one.

On the merging point. NA engines make people better drivers, you need to think ahead more and start your acceleraton on the slip road so that you're already at the right speed when you join the main road (which by the way is what you're supposed to do!). Powerful Turbo cars make people lazy and poorer drivers as they start to rely on the low end thrust to get them out of situations that they should never have gotten in to in the first place. Your merge on to the A road is a case in point, you don't need to drop to 1st because you shouldn't be needing that level of acceleration to start with, should have been building up speed on the slip road from the start, because you know everyones doing 50-60 on the A road.

GT4 is my absolute dream car. No chance I'm gonna be able to afford one in the next 7 years though. I'm looking at an M2c in the next 2 years. But I wont do PCP I'm just going HP

With highway driving using PDK, I consistently get about 31-32 mpg on my GTS 4.0 - that’s very boring, stationary driving. Much closer to your 21 mpg when driving for fun!
