I am old enough to remember when we were told paper bags were bad and plastic would save us.

One defense for the paper bags is that they are biodegradable, unlike plastic bags, so we won't end up with an ocean of plastic.
I know, we will and are already having an ocean of plastic in the ocean.

Chicago supposedly "banned" plastic bags. That lasted a little while. Then they brought them back, only to start charging you 7 cents for each one. Where's all that $$ going? And now I am seeing paper bags coming back. I thought we were saving trees & that's why we went to plastic in the first place? I'm so sick of this.

I think it's a great idea...until people find out that the tap water over there is lead-filled and not 100% pure like PURE spring water bottled.

In Germany we have a deposit system. On glass bottles 8 cents, on reusable plastic bottles 15 cents and on bottles you can only recycle but not reuse 25 cents. I think it's a good system and nearly all bottles are returned to the store

Bin liners, Laundry lint bag, food storage, picking up dog poo, cleaning out the litter box, throwing away knick knacks, and of course, G.I. Joe parachute.

They Banned plastic bags, straws (paper straws are un-recyclable) now bottles. If only they put this effort into cleaning up the streets in California.
