How to bleed Power Steering System the RIGHT WAY! Bleed Powersteering

In this video we are showing you how to bleed the power steering system on your vehicle. If you have replaced the power steering pump or a high pressure powersteering hose than you WILL HAVE TO bleed it or you are risking to damage your power steering pump.
If you start the car without bleeding the power steering system it will foam the powersteering fluid and it may creat air pockets that will make your pump to run dry and it could damage it.
If you hear a noise coming from the power steering pump after the repair than it means that there is still air in the system.
You will have to lift the front end of the vehicle up in the air so you can freely turn the steering wheel and not have pressure on the lines( do not start the car) until you bleed all the air out.

It may be an older video, but the advice worked on my 22 yo car. Found some air bubbles, and my pump sounds much better now. Appreciate it.

Much appreciated, had a loud pump, thought I needed to replace it. I had added power steering fluid a while back and knew nothing of bleeding the system. After seeing this, went out, turned the wheel a bunch, then started it (cap off) and did the same. Much more subtle and will monitor it as time goes by. Thanks for taking the time to help.

World Mechanics does it again ! 7-9-23 and it's the best video . Helped me get a Honda Ridgeline whine gone gone gone.
Definitely always impressed with your knowledge. Hope you're still making videos and your driver is still around making the wheels turn. A man needs great dedicated help. : )

Thank you so much for making this video! During the winter, my power-steering pump got extremely loud and I was really worried I was going to have to have to get a new one. I followed the procedure exactly how you showed it and my pump sounds like new again. I actually just did it a couple hours ago. Thank you so much!

Straight forward and easy to do.

My second pump replacement, I didn't bleed the first one enough so I got to do it again. ☹️

on my Fiest a rat derailed the power steering pump belt, managed to free the dead beastie and get the belt back on with a cardboard trick and this vid will help remove any air trapped after driving without the pump for a few days, wish me luck!!
