There are some animals that have survived for hundreds of millions of years & humans are killing them into extinction. Not even the asteroid that killed all the dinos didn't take out everything but I believe humans will be the disaster that does kill every living creature in the end. Human beings are just SO wonderful aren't we!!(sarcastically)

Look into the pole shifts or excursions. Every extinction level event happened during a major excursion and the poles are now rapidly on the move again. Now that trumps pollution any day.

here's what if you travelled into the distant future and when you got there.... there wasn't any planet just end up floating in a gas cloud and you would have a few seconds to breath would you have time to jump back :)
