HOW TO TIE YOUR SHOES - EASY TUTORIAL - FOR BEGINNERS

How to tie your shoes; easy tutorial for beginners. We're going to be practicing how to tie your shoe. At least by the time your child is in kindergarten, they should be able to tie their shoes. My oldest child learned how to tie her shoes when she was two years old, but my youngest child took a lot longer.

Directions:
Start with the shoe on a flat surface
Hold one lace in each hand
Crisscross the shoe laces
Thread or wrap one lace over the other
Pull down tight to form a knot
Make a loop with one of the laces
Use the other hand to wrap the other lace around the loop
Push the newly formed loop through the open hole
Hold both loops then pull them tight
The most important thing to remember is to do it again and again, because practice makes perfect. Once you get the hang of the basics, then you can experiment with other shoe lace styles! Thanks for watching!

Thank you for making this video! My 9 year old grandson has dyslexia and cannot tie his shoes. Your video has helped. He still hasn't successfully tied his shoes, but he is getting better, after working on it for one hour this morning. We hope to conquer the shoe tying soon. Wow, i learned this so many years ago, but I still remember when, as a kid, I had to ask some adults to tie my shoes. ;)
