Got a sub as a gift when I graduated the naval academy .wore it through out my career as a navy seal for 12 years . Never had it serviced and wore it on dives and climbs and free falls . Watch is a tank . My wife got me a newer one when I retired . I continue to wear each one everyday .

My 27 years old Submariner in SsAnd 18k is a daily 24/7 watch wore continuously for 27 years. Been serviced six or seven times at local watchmaker other then approximate gaskets it’s all original parts. Only watch I own. Perfect. I smile at it I smiles at me. Keeps about a third of a second a day time keeping after 27 of continuous service.

I have my 16200 date just and I love it to death but now that I’m looking at purchasing another watch, I’m thinking that I may go with an omega Seamaster over a submariner just because of how hard the sub is to get and how outrageous the prices are😭

The black submariner is the one that loses its novelty the fastest, not just because of how plain it is compared to even other submariners, but also because of how hyped up it is, then you get it and you see how little character it has.
