This judgement in a way reinstates the belief of the masses in the protector of our fundamental rights. Long way to go but a good start!

Wise decision by our Supreme Court. Such an issue cannot and should not be swept under the carpet. An unbiased and thorough probing and investigation of this case is necessary. Kudos to our SC for taking a brave stand on this issue

In order to make the Supreme Court accessible to common citizen all over India it is high time that 4 Zonal benches of Supreme Courts are established. Presently it’s very very difficult for those far from Delhi. Shekhar is requested to dedicate 1 CTC on this issue …

Presented with clarity and natural exuberance of a seasoned journalist, SG.

Tailpiece: With so many meaningful quotes, probably, the judgement does not need more than 50 pages!

I was reading Laxmikant's polity nowadays and it's wonderful to watch it's application in real world concurrently. My heart is giggling with joy. ❤️❤️ 🤓❤️

It’s all good and nice that Supreme Court is holding everyone accountable… but it’s also needed that a system is needed for judges also be accountable… for the amount of pending cases in our courts, judiciary is one of biggest hindrances… and Every CJI gives statements like “our judiciary is most colonial institution we need to change that” but no action or reform was ever taken

Somehow, people always forget that it's much easier to install a dictator than to remove one.

What a coincidence! Today morning I went and purchased the book “1984” which I was thinking for a long time but today without any prep lab. Night when I listened to Mr.Shekar Gupta about this landmark judgement I was surprised to note that the Judgement start with the quote from this book. A book published first in 1949 and is being quoted by the highest court even today. I feel doubly happy I bought this book today😃

Let’s hope there are no sudden resignations in the Supreme Court now.

I don't know if we fully recognize and appreciate how lucky we are that we have such an unbiased judiciary (which is terribly slow at times) which is willing to stand up to the executive and legislative branches of the government. This would help in adding checks and balances to make sure that no political office has absolute power. We still need to improve upon the bureaucracy, but I have faith that we will get there some day.

The present CJI is perhaps one of the strongest CJI in the history of independent India. The man’s got a spine unlike the previous two. Respect ✊🏻
