Supreme Court to pronounce order judgement in Pegasus Spyware case

The Supreme Court will announce its order on pleas seeking probe into the alleged Pegasus spyware case today. A bench headed by Chief Justice of India NV Ramana will pass the order. Earlier, the bench had said that it would want to set up independent committees to probe into the case. Even as the Centre refused to file an affidavit on whether Pegasus software was used or not, the Supreme Court had reserved its order on a batch of petitions seeking a probe into news reports of snooping. Asking the Centre to not beat around the bush and inform the court if it changes its mind, the top court indicated that it would pass an interim order in the next few days.
