Given her origins, I'd say Kito Akari is an Iron Lady. She literally crawled herself out of hardship and heartbreak to reach where she is now. An admirable lady whose tenacity is worth emulating.

I love Akarin's voice, it's super recognizable. Nezuko boost do be hilarious because she doesn't really get to speak at all... Some of my favorite Akarin roles are Momo (from machikado mazoku) and kanata. She does a pretty bang up job in Genshin as barbara too

I was originally shocked and surprised when I learned (from one interview of Akarin) that her dream was to become an illustrator and she is really good on it. In an alternative reality, we may not have her as a seiyuu but as an illustrator instead.

Maaan the moment with whiteboards is so cool! We did something similar for my favorite band about 10 years ago. Local fan club made an announcement that during 2nd chorus of band's self-titled song we raise up a piece of paper with smth like "My favorite song is ..." or "I started listening to you with song ..." or just some wish towards the band. It was a blast! Luckily there was 2 minute instrumental part following the moment cause otherwise singer was unable to sing and was just standing with open mouth watching us do the thing.

The band is called Anathema, from the UK, if you, aka youtube enjoyer who's reading this, are into metal (their early stuff) or into psychedelic rock (later stuff) - make sure to check them out. Sadly they lost a lot of money during COVID tours cancellations and now disbanded, but they left a huge library to check out.

Been there done that after finished my art college in Tokyo. Working on midnight shift at Family Mart, didn't have the money to pay for gas bill, only electricity. Eating expired foods from workplace. Interestingly I had a lot of part time colleagues with the same life. An amateur stage actor, a manzai comedian, an inbetween animator. Life in Japan isn't easier for Japanese themselves man!!

That’s so sad that her grandma passed away before she was able to realize her dream. I’m sure her grandma is looking down on her with pride. Never saw Demon Slayer but love her voice. Kanata is one of my favorite Love Live characters. She’s done so many great roles. What an amazing artist too! Hope she continues in the industry for a long time.

I mix up a lot of characters in love live in radio dramas, but her role as Kanata is so recognizable. Her raspy sleepy delivery stood out in a sea of high pitched voices.
