So many of today's curators are insufficienty educated about the best art over many centuries. Instead, they have been taught that the main ingredient of curating a new exhibit is that it allows checking off the usual boxes: looks new and different (therefore it MUST be creative!), conveys a certain level of excitement to those who also are relatively untrained in viewing art, is almost always quite large (to many people and to many curators, "large" MUST mean good and that the artist is seriously committed. Etc and etc. Frankly, based on what I saw in this video, I would not even bother to walk through this exhibit. Many curators would love to help to "discover" a little known new artist. The problem is, in almost every case I've seen, these new artists really do not warrant this level of attention. I really believe that the majority of such curators are seriously not up to the job, and never will be.
