DayZ is about to get HARD. DayZ 1.27 has introduced HUGE changes to how food poisoning works. Survivors will also have a MUCH harder time avoiding and treating illness with multivitamins. This MASSIVE change makes DayZ HARD.

Found this out the other day after not playing a for a couple months pulled through in the end though and survived the food poisoning

The meta is fishing. Get a sharp object and rope from clothes. Then fish and cook before starting your journey. You'll never have to worry about food once you have a rope. Bones from survivors are also everywhere at the spawn towns

Fishing rod, knife, some kind of firing for hunting. Boom, ur set. Animals and players give unlimited bones, have a small stone on u at all times and u can always more more hooks and knives for practically infinite fish

Never had this problem because I usually don't collect multivitamins and by the time I do I don't need them for water or food. Just to help fight against a cold or prevent it from coming back

I’ve eaten rotten food all the time, and never got sick once from it, my mates always gave me the rotten food as they didn’t trust it

A true level of psychotic realism would be the game won’t tell you the condition of food, so you either have to get gud at knowing what visual corresponds with the quality, or do a smell/taste test
